Jerick Johnson drives the American Legion 76 Car
The American Legion/David Law Firm 76 Freedom Car driven by Jerick Johnson will be at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond and the Colonial Heights American Legion Post 284 in Colonial Heights, Virginia on Wednesday, April 27th. The team will be at the VAMC located at 1201 Broad Rock Blvd. from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and Post 284 located at 505 Springdale Avenue in Colonial Heights that evening. The community is invited to come show their support and love of The American Legion, racing, and most importantly, our Nation’s veterans. "The American Legion does so much for our veterans, our active military and their families. Stopping by VA Facilities and letting patients know that they are appreciated for what they have done and saying ‘Thank You for your service’ is very important to our team,” explained Johnson. “A visit to a post by American Legion Racing may provide that post with that much needed spark of excitement and stir up their ambition get out and do more for their post and their surrounding community. I have met a lot of good people through visiting different Departments, posts and VA Facilities and look forward to visiting many more,” Johnson continued. Team Johnson Motorsports and The American Legion/David Law Firm 76 Freedom Car will be in town to compete in the Blue Ox 100 at Richmond International Speedway on April 28th. The 75-mile, 100-lap race is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. Johnson is a member of the Sons of the American Legion, while his father and team owner Jack Johnson is a Legionnaire, and Jerick's mother, Debby, is an American Legion Auxiliary member. |
