VA Learning Opportunity Redsidency (VALOR) Program for Students

 VA Learning Opportunity Residency Program (VALOR) NURSING STUDENTS

The VALOR program provides opportunities for outstanding junior level/3rd year BSN students to develop competencies in clinical nursing at an approved VA health care facility.

Students will have classroom experiences, provide competency-based clinical practice with a qualified RN preceptor, and participate in nursing-focused clinical conferences.

During the 10 week experience, participants will conduct and present a nursing project they developed. Our VALOR students are Courtney Tubbs, Jessica Delauder, and Stacy Hernandez. All three are from James Madison University’s BSN Program.
