Mobile Outreach Clinic Expands Service Area
Stop by and speak with a representative about VA health care. Walk-ins are welcomed.
The mission of the Home Based Primary Care (HBPC) is to bring primary medical care services to Veterans living in rural areas throughout central Virginia. Access to health services in rural and underserved areas create barriers to proper health. "We're looking for At Risk elderly Veterans finding it difficult to make the drive to Richmond to receive their primary care," said Worth Kenyon, Program Director for the HBPC team. The 40 foot mobile outreach clinic has two exam rooms for privacy and a staff of trained medical professionals. “It’s just like visiting a doctor’s office,” says Eleanor Washington, Clinic Coordinator. The team also provides outreach by assisting Veterans with the application process for enrollment into VA healthcare. If you are not enrolled for VA healthcare benefits, and would like to schedule a time for a future appointment, then please contact Eleanor Washington at 804 675-6746. Veterans should bring some form of identification, a copy of their DD-214 if possible and any current medications for registration and consulting.
