The McGuire Medical Center urology department is raising awareness about the importance of Prostate Cancer Screening through awareness and educational activities during the month of September. The urology team focuses on patient screening and education as the main goals for the clinic.

During the month, to raise awareness the clinic has held several activities to provide needed education regarding the disease. Prostate cancer is the 5th leading cause of death in men over the age of 45. Staff members are available to provide handouts and other teaching materials for patients.
