Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center - Richmond, VA

Veterans living in the Fredericksburg metropolitan area can enroll in the VA health care system, receive health information, and learn more about various services available to them through the Veterans Health Administration and the Community Outreach Team from McGuire VA Medical Center.

The team will consists of nurse educators who will provide materials and discuss such issues as diabetes management and tips on controlling hypertension and cholesterol levels.  Eligibility and enrollment specialist along with other Veteran outreach support teams will be on hand to discuss VA health benefits and accept Veterans’ enrollments on the spot.

All who served in the U.S. military are invited to attend the event.  Veterans are encouraged to bring a copy of their DD Form 214 (discharge paperwork).

The event will be hosted by Fredericksburg VFW Post 3101 located at 2701 Princess Ann Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. The event will be held on August 8, 2012, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
